Aquatica 40D Housing

  1. I was looking over my A20 housing with the modified rear for the AquaView. The size of the opening for the AquaView caused Aquatica to lower the LCD viewport. If you look straight into the LCD viewport, you will not see the top portion of the display.

From the pictures on the Internet of the 40D, there looks to be significantly less space between the top of the LCD and the bottom of the viewfinder. Will this be an issue?

  2. The actual spacing between the 20D and 40D is actually pretty close to similar in usable term, but the 40D bigger screen make for easier viewing straight on.

So Jean, when can we expect the new Aquatica housing?

Should I start saving my gift certificates? (I now ask for & receive gift certificates (cash) from kids, wife, etc. to accumulate and spend on this ridiculously expensive hobby.)

    TomC -_-

  4. You better start saving now, that housing will be out in just a few short months -_-

do you take trade-ins for S&S ports and gears? :)

After using the 40D for about a month topside, the 400D viewfinder and LCD looked sooo tiny on my Bali dive trip last week :)

  6. You have got to get yourself one of the Aqua View Finder, that is the best addition to my housing yet, what a viewing difference, from key hole to port hole :)

I can vouch for that too! It is certainly the most expensive piece of glass to never make its mark on a sensor or piece of film - but it is more than worth it. Like jean says - from keyhole to port hole.
