Avoid KFC, Subway is an option on fast food, Casablanca have nice meat argentinan style, there is a place for pizzas on the right side of the road when driving to Buddys Dive Resort but I don`t remember the name...
Capriccio is nice but not for everyday...
Anywhere you decide to eat, remember your timing and theirs is not the same... They are on Island Time..... he,he...
There is a post somewhere here in wetpixel about eating in bonaire, try doing a search by "bonaire", I could do it for you but right now.. I`m really sleepy..
Have a nice trip.
If its the one I'm thinking about, the pizza place is called Pasa Bon. Easily spotted by a set of traffic lights outside. Good pizza and pasta with a nice atmosphere. Think it might be closed on Mondays & Tuesdays.
Richards is undoubtedly the best and probably most expensive place on the island for the full menu dinner out jobbie. American run waterside restaurant about a mile south of the town. If you're in female company, pre-book the single table in the romantic Tiki hut at the end of their private jetty for a few bonus points. ![]()
At the other end of the scale, Bobbie Jans is worth a try for her ribs. A bit cranky but neverthless very enjoyable. North of the town on the left hand side before you get to Passa Bon. Only open at weekends.
Oh - Don't forget to visit Annette's Bakery. She's supplies many of the hotels from her house up on the hill. She's now opened a shop just north of the town on the right. Ask her about making you a quiche or one of her fantastic chocolate marble cheesecakes. Food to die for.

During our last trip in February, we found the service and quality at Richards had gone down. Others said the same thing. Long wait, poor service, mediocre food, high prices.
Try:
Captain Don's for wood fired oven pizzas
Lion's Den has good food - especially the burgers.
We stayed at Den Laman condos and the restaurant downstairs was among the best we've tried.
The BBQ joint is good and you get a TON of food. Two people could split a meal.
Casablanca's is always good.
Good Luck!

That's a shame but speak as you find.
We went there twice in Jan this year and had good meals and service.

I was there in February. Hopefully, they were having an off-week.
I had the best wahoo ever there once. I'm drooling just thinking about it. ![]()
my vote for a true Bonaire epicurean experience:
Maikey Snack outside of Kralendijk
Rose Inn in Rincon
I agree with you, but it's not that it has "gone down" per se. Richard's has always been up and down in both food and service (the prices have always been upDuring our last trip in February, we found the service and quality at Richards had gone down. I believe the most reliable restaurant on Bonaire is Andrea and Lola's place, Capriccio, and in my experience they have the most extensive and insightful Italian wine list of any place I have been in the Caribbean. If you enjoy Barolos, Capriccio is like heaven. Most of the dishes at this reaturant are very engaging and the odd day when Osso Buco is the special, well, my advice is to not miss it (unless of course prefer not to eat veal). Some of the white sauce dishes are extraordinary. The downside to Capriccio, like all restaurants on Bonaire, is that the **fresh** fish selections are very very limited. You can almost always count on wahoo, but after that it is very hit and miss.
I enjoy Mona Lisa as well (beware that is has a very casual pace), and for Dutch/Indonesian fare the Old Inn seldom disappoints.
Bonaire has a wealth of good restaurants and eateries. Most are like Richard's, up and down. So there are no real guarantees with regard to service and quality, but Cappricio, Blue Moon, Mona Lisa and Old Inn are a few retaurants that have never failed us. If you average out recommendations from the dive operators while you are on island you will get a real good idea which restaurants been good lately and which are suffering at that point in time.
