New Underwater Videographer Podcast is Up

6 posts
  1. I interviewed Jason Heller of www.divephotoguide.com. We discuss the Underwater Video Competition at www.underwatercompetition.com. Photographers & videographers will compete in seven still-image categories and two video categories, to win more than $50,000 in prizes including premium dive travel, underwater photo/video and diving equipment and more! This is regarded as the Super Bowl of underwater imagery competition.

    Up-coming Podcasts:

I interviewed Dr. Robert Shoch of Boston University on the History Channel special about the Yonaguni Underwater Monument.

I interviewed Gen Goodrich, Video Supervisor/Manufacturing Engineer of Ikelite Underwater Systems for a behind the scenes look at making the Ikelite underwater video housings.

  2. I'm enjoying the podcasts Marshall. Good listening while I'm editing. The latest one hadn't appeared on my itunes so I streamed the mp3 from your website.

Interesting that www.divephotoguide.com (and Jason himself) are about to branch into video. Will be looking out for that. He did a great job selling the competition. I must try and get something together in time for the Jan 13 deadline.

  3. Yes I enjoyed it as well...good work..

5 Minute video for the competition.....mmm what could I cut up.

  4. Thank you for the feedback. By the way, I am always looking for suggestions for future podcasts, so feel free to suggest.

  5. Interview with Drew! (Drew Wong who is one of the Wetpixel moderators if you didn't know and active on this forum). He would love to blind you with colorspaces and crushed blacks I'm sure. He has a very good take on current and upcoming gear, which is something a lot of your listeners would be interested in.

Wagsy perhaps? He'd be good (as long as you stop him mentioning EDIUS :) )

John Ellerbrook of Gates housings would be good including talk about their forthcoming RED housing.

Also John Larkin CTO of Light and Motion (ex Apple design engineer).

Someone from Amphibico? Ikelite? etc. etc.

Rob Stewart, the man behind Shark Water.

    One of the Scubazoo guys?

Someone from Fathom Imaging who make top end aspheric ports etc. (inc for Gates).

When you've finished with them... interviews with Howard Hall, Peter Scoones, Doug Allen, Leandro Blanco, Stan Waterman etc.. Any of those would be great.
