It's a very interesting idea. If only it were faster. I could live with the speed if given a choice which images to transfer. Maybe they'll come up with a firmware update for that.
It is slow and also eats battery. I had wifi transfer in my coolpix P3 (before I lost the camera), and the few times I tried the wireless transfer, it would take about 20 seconds per photo (8mp) and run the battery down pretty good. In the end it was a lot quicker to just pull the card out, and transfer the photos from the SD card slot in my laptop.
An unobstructed signal is also very important for wifi. I had a hard time getting a connection between my laptop and my camera while while the cam was in a polycarbonate housing right next to the laptop (both in air). Add to that that wifi signals get by water and only manage to transfer a few inches. With this system I doubt the signal would get more than 2 inches from a housed camera within a rinse bucket. Then you'd still have to open the housing after the transfer in order to change the battery if you were going to do another dive.
Don't get me wrong, I thingk it's a cool gizmo, but IMHO it's not very practical, yet. Maybe as wifi gets faster and consumes less power it might, but for now, I'll stick with the sd card slot in my laptop.
Even if it was faster, I'd think you'd have to worry about security of your files if they became popular.
