This time last year the phone rang. It was a REAL film crew (!) requiring my services as exclusive underwater cameraman on a 5 week shoot in Thailand.... ![]()
Directed by Stewart Raffill, (The Philadelphia Experiment), Assistant Director Terry Bamber (Casino Royal and loadsda other more recent Bond movies) and starring Michael Madsen, (Kill Bill 1 & 2, Reservoir Dogs (Mr. Blonde), Sin City etc....).... ![]()
Best part of it all was getting in the tank with an 8 ft Siam croc! Taken care of by none other than one of Hollywood's top animal handlers, Julian Sylvester - http://www.reptilerentals.com - who's worked on nearly every Hollywood movie involving the use of animals.... Croc's mouths were wired shut of course, as Jules has a "no-blood" rule which as never been compromised in 30-odd years in the industry....
What started off as exclusive UW cameraman quickly mutated into a full-on roll as UW DOP, UW stunt choreographer and co-ordinator, 2nd marine safety officer etc..... (it was on a "tight-budget" - next time I hear that, I think that I'll double my fee.....
)
Anyhows - it aired on Sky One (European Satellite TV) the other day and I jumped for joy when I saw a Star World trailer on the telly the other night using only my shots!
Watchout on your listings for "Croc" - airing internationally on Star World (or various regional equivalents)...
Youtube have a trailer and a mini EPK online - don't get your hopes up, it's really not very good (The letter B sprang to mind when I saw the first director's cut) but anyways, it's one metaphorical foot in the metaphorical door init!!?!?
The trailer is here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Dz9qreVPHvSo
and the mini EPK is here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Dcuy3zVtdp8U
enjoy! Take it all with a pinch of salt, it's really not very good (apart from all the "wet shots" of course... ![]()
