Advice on brackets / arms etc for newbie (Fuji F30 & Inon Z240)

  1. Hi there,

I'm a bit of a newbie to all this.... but currently I've got my hands on a Z-240 strobe (ebay purchase) and my trusty F30 & Fuji housing....

Could anyone offer any advice / tips with regards to the various setups for mounting my Z240 please?

So far I've seen Inon & Ultralite as possibilties.....

Price is a consideration, and I intend to start simply and build over time....

    thanks for reading....

    Jon

  2. Jon, Sorry for the late reply and hope it's not too late.

The F30 and Fuji housing is so compact that I would hate to slap this on a big tray/ handle setup... :)

For a cheap and compact option, I would get a 10bar tray, 10bar flex arm, 10bar inon adapter, and 10bar Inon optical cable.

I don't know where you are located, but this online Taiwanese shop has good prices on 10bar items.

  3. If you plan on getting the Inon lens adaptor for the F30, I'd be sure to stick with Inon trays/arms. The Inon adaptor is designed to work with the Inon tray....

  4. actually you can still use the inon adapter on a ULCS or any tray. It's just that you will be able to use one mounting screw. Not a major problem.
