Colour shift on capture via firewire. Blue->Green

Can't work out what is causing this. On the camera and another monitor the footage appears blue (filmed in Red Sea), during capture and all post the footage has lost the blue and now has a green tint.

Doubtful it's a monitor / display issue as exporting the clips to DVD / xVid etc and playback on other systems shows green tint as well. Could this be codec issue? Setup? Pixies?

have you updated to 6.0.2 on FCP? you'll need to get 10.4.11 and QT 7.3.

Of course... BACKUP your system BEFORE you attempt this.

If that doesn't work, try dumping the preferences using FCPRescue Run it at least twice as it doesn't always clear all files. Also use FCP media manager to dump all your renders.

If that all fails, then you need to do a clean install of the OS and FCP. To keep this from happening again, I'd keep a backup of this clean install and start another user for this clean install without any other plug-in, haxies etc.

Drew - genius. The FCP Rescue and trashing the settings worked perfectly. Thanks for that. Have renewed motivation to get on with the job now!
