Backhanded Compliment?

Earlier this year I entered the International Photography Awards competition. I realized recently that I hadn't heard from them. I checked their web site and found that I hadn't placed, but they had a link to check the honorable mentions. Much to my surprise, I found that I won an HM in the non-pro underwater division.

The backhanded compliment was that they didn't post the image or even bother to tell me. I did earn the right to download (and print on my own printer) an awards certificate. (sarcasm)

Anyway, the award listing is at http://photoawards.com/07/contests/2007honors.asp and the photo is http://www.flickr.com/photos/drsteve/24627...57594320562818/

This is a huge competition with some amazing images in the winners circle. Check it out at http://photoawards.com/07/contests/2007winners.asp

Wow, that will fill up a day. What a great place to look around and see what the rest of the imaging world is up to. The nonprofessional underwater entries are especially nice. (to me at least) The jelly image and the dragon are both exceptional. Congratulations on the HM is such an impressive crowd.
