Green Water Magic Filter

  1. Hi all,

Here are some pictures taken at my local dive site.

It was a classic British winter day (i.e. kind of gloomy!) The wreck lies in about 17m. All were taken on a D2Xs with a Tokina 10-17mm (at the 10mm end) I was using a green water Magic filter, and manually white balancing every couple of metres.

What I think is amazing is that the lens has "seen" more than we could see on the dive!

    All the best

  2. These are really nice; this is an example where I think the new D3 at high ISO could push the boundaries even further.

  3. Nice shots, Adam.

It is amazing what a filter and a long-ish exposure can reveal in dark murky waters. I think often the people most impressed are actually those who were on the dive - and saw the actual conditions in which the images were taken.

I am keen to come up to Capernwray to shoot the trout - but it is quite a trek from the south coast.

  4. Hi Alex,

Thanks! I have had a similar experience with green water filters and 3 chip video cameras-but this is definately more marked!

Here are some trout from the end of the same series:
