I'm taking a old Ike port and turn it into an custom adapter to fit my old Oceanic Hydro 35 8" FE port. But I need to know the length range of the Tokina 10-17 lens on a canon body, which I'm hoping to get soon, but not currently available at local stores. I need in mm the distance from the lens mount base mounted on the body to the very end tip of the lens, both at 10mm and 17mm. Anybody has this lens and camera and can help me with this information? Thank you!

73mm from mount to the very top of the hood.

Thank you!
With you providing only one length I must assume that the external lens length remains the same throughout the zoom range. Again Thanks

I think that extended (to be safe call it 75mm). The Tokina site has it listed at 71mm. The front element does extend just a litle bit (not much). I just happen to have the number (73mm) on my office PC from when I was looking at housing this lens. If you can wait another 8hrs or so til I get back home, I can confirm the exact number for you.

Thanks, I can wait till you have the actual.

Thank you so much!
Looks like I will need to make 2 seperate adapters to acommodate my 14 Sigma. Although I expect once I have the 10-17 my 14 to be a lens in the bag for topside, until I find out if the D5 will fit the D10 housing with some modifications and the D5 body has come down in price below 2K. Or......just sell the 14 and buy 10-17 with the money? Give up on shooting FF ever again? Decisions, decisions when you are on a budget.
Again, thanks.

I use my 10-17 inside a standard Ikelite 6" dome with no problems.
