  1. I am a Wetpixaholic!

Family and friends laugh and snigger as I sneak off to check the forums.

I hear the Eagles' Hotel California refrain playing repeatedly in my head '....you can check out any time you want, but you can never leave!.

    What to do.

    Words now in my vocabulary:

    Wetpixelling, Wetpixeller, Wetpixelled

Most would say 'Get a life!'

    Happy New Year everyone.

  2. Hi Jeff,

The moment you start asking the anaesthetist to check the forums for you while you're operating I would seek help :):excl:

    Happy New Year too!

    Bart

  3. Don't give an addict ideas on how to feed his habit!

  4. haha, or even better, have the forums displayed on one of the anaesthetit's monitors (who need ECG anyway), put a mouse in one of those sterile plastic sleeves (where you put a laparascopic camera in) and you can surf the forums yourself :):excl:

  5. OK, I'm turning off the computer now....really!

  6. Hey, our Cardiac and Neuro rooms have huge flat screen LCD's. Really nice to look at your latest round of pictures on! :-)

  7. Giving me more ideas for upgrades; the biggest screen I have is an old eMac in the operating room.

OK, so us medical folk with nothing better to do than Wetpixel (verb) rather than work and take care of patients, we can justify this addiction. What's everyone else's excuse?

Trying to help those in the medical profession get past the addiiction. :excl:

  9. loftus, get your X-ray dept. to upgrade to digital flat plates. That way, in every room there will be a computer with a CD/DVD drive and a 21" monitor. Easy to hook up to the internet. Now in the Neuro room where they do crani's, you need to have large 42" monitors for that MRI 3D imaging thing they do. Heart rooms, they just always seem to have large monitors. Hook up to those with your own Lap Top through the anesthesia machine. Maybe your Dr's lounge could use a Wi-Fi router so you could use a lap top in the room?

So many ways for a hospital to spend money to keep Drs happy, so little capital budget.

  10. Buy a Philips MP90 for your ORs and then have an application server attached. You can bring up any website and still have your vitals displayed!!!!

  11. He, he...you guys are supposed to be helping the Wetpixel afflicted, not feeding the addiction, but you never know where these threads go , do you? Part of the allure of Wetpixel.
