Tokina 10-17 and Nexus housings

  1. Is anybody using the Tokina 10-17 in a Nexus housing and getting good results? If so, what camera body and dome port are you using, and is an extension needed to position the lens properly?

I'm also curious if anybody has tried out Nexus' small dome designed for this lens? It seems that such a small diameter dome could introduce problems.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I'm using the small dome with a D2X and vary happy with the results. Even splits work well with the small port. It is also much easier to light when working at extremely close distances.

Thanks Todd, I'm glad to hear that.

  4. I'm using the 160mm glass dome with a 20mm extension with a D200 and seems to work well. At first tests on land thought an 18mm extension would be better but underwater the 20mm isn't giving any vignetting.
