Several new P&S cameras like the Casio Exilim Pro F1 and the Samsung NV24HD have pushed the barrier that use to cut between still and video cameras.
The Pro F1 is capable of handling 60FPS for 1 second at high res 6mp and shoot 1080/60i in AVCHD and even low res 1200fps.
The Samsung NV24HD does 720/30p and is 10mp. Obviously the image is highly compressed but the implications for things to come is going to be interesting as card media space gets bigger and processors get faster for better compression.
Exciting times ahead I say.
