Get a good drysuit and Alaska is not really that cold. Except the glacier swim without the drysuit.

The scenery on the inland passage way is spectacular. Would be worth doing even if you didn't dive.

I could go up and do a dive trip just to the Port Hardy area.

Yes it was a great trip. Really worth while if all you ever do is tropical. I found the diving no colder than diving San Mogul in the winter.
