Filter or Wide Angle?

4 posts
  1. Well I was wrong. I made a mistake when ordering some new accessories for my camera and now I have to choose which to use for a trip to Hawaii on Sunday, at least I might have to. Do I take the 0.6x Century Optics wide angle adapter for my DVX100 or to I take the UR Pro Filter? I can manually white balance the camera and it works amazingly well so I'm leaning towards taking the adapter. Does this sound reasonable? This will be my first attempt with underwater video in a brand new housing.

    Woe is me!

  2. Aloha!

go wide and colour correct later if needed, just my opinion.

    Have fun

  3. My opinion matches Jon's.

A wide angle lens will give you more shooting options.

You can colour correct later 'in post'.

    Enjoy Hawaii

  4. Take both - it's not like the filter will take up a lot of space.

I know some people are putting their color correction filters in between the camera and wide lense - it would mean removing it from the holder.
