Hi all,
I thought the community might be interested in the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival (SFOFF) http://www.oceanfilmfest.org. Well, the San Francisco Bay Area local ones anyway. :-)
The dates for SFOFF are February 1-3 this year, starting off Friday with a big party at the Aquarium of the Bay, on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. I've attended the film festival the last two years and really enjoyed it. They feature a variety of films, some with very pertinent (sometimes not pretty) marine ecology issues, others about life on and near the sea, and some films that were just plain entertaining! More information about the films is available at http://www.oceanfilmfest.org/films.html.
You can purchase tickets on-line at http://www.oceanfilmfest.org/shop.html. The festival is being held at the Cowell Theater in Fort Mason Center, Pier 2, San Francisco, California.
I really recommend this Ocean Film Festival to everyone interested in the ocean.
Best,
Kathy Mendes
