One last question on strobe arms

3 posts
  1. Can I get away with two of Ikelite's macro arms for dual strobes all around shooting or do you think I have to get some 12" tubes to switch out?

I shoot mostly macro and closeups, I know I will love them for that, I am a bit worried about backscatter for the occasional normal shot I would take.

  2. Not sure what Ike's macro arms look like, but when I shoot with a mid-macro (Canon 50mm) I use 4" UCLS arms, If I see something mid-sized then I feather the strobes out and don't get backscatter....

were taken with the same setup....the froggies were about a foot long each and the anemone fish were about 2inches long...

    Great idea about the feathering!
