Is everyone using the Sigma 17-70mm lens with Ikelite using it with the 8" port? It looks like it would work in the 6" dome port 5503.55 since the Nikon 18-70mm works in that port. Anybody using a 6" with this lens?
thanks!

I am using the Sigma 17-70 HSM with the 8" dome port and the .24 extension body. It works flawlessly. I don't know about the 6" port, but as I also shoot with the 10-17, and with the 14mm, the 8" is more versatile for me.

No. It won´t work on any 6" port w/shade. At the release of this lens (the not HSM version) it was listed on Ikelite port chart as the 5505.5 but this port vignettes under 20mm, so shade had to be removed.
The Nik 18-70mm is shorter than the 17-70mm so that port neither will work.
If you walk thru ikelite port chart, you´ll see that the recommended port is the 8".
I have the 6" if you want it, but shipping it there will be more expensive than buying it new. I have it here for mix drink coktails on my parties! the shade holds it perfectly straight ![]()
Take a piece of advise and get the 8" you`ll never regret you did it.

Thanks Felix, I've come to that conclusion too - I have an 8" and I'm sure you're right, it's the best way to go.
