Green Footage with gates HC7 Hosuing and Fathom 110 Degree

Hello Users,
I have following Problem. When I´m filing with my Gates HC7 Housing and the Lense Fathom 110 Degree I always get green Videos. In bahams 2 m depth blue water as well in 20m Polynesia clear waters.
What I can not understand is that with the same Camera in a other Housing I get blue Videos. Nothing wa changed and the Problem is always the same. I also have the Impresion that the Quality is not the same with thislense as with this of the other Housing.
Did anybody have a Idea what I can do to avoid thsi Problem or maybe knows what I make wrong.
Thanks and sorry for my bad german English.
regards
Michael
I think i might know you Michael...
Your english is just fine! Better than our German..
Sounds like a very strange problem indeed! lens choice shouldn't have anything to do with colour i wouldn't think. Are you using different filters between the two housings? is one a green water and the other a blue water filter?
Are you using same WB between both housings? A preset one or perhaps manual WB?
Hopefully someone else has a guess or two as that is all i can think of
Hi Michael (great we have 3 Mike's on this thread...)
How are you white balancing with the HC7 in the Gates and in the other housing? Manual or auto setting?
Can you post maybe a screen capture? I have the WP25 Fathoms port and HC7. White balancing can be a bit finicky with the HC7.
Guten tag Michael. Meine Deutsche ist nicht so gut, aber deine Englisch ist sehr gut. Ich auch habe das HC7 mit Gates housing. I agree with the Mike concensus - seems like a white balance issue. Are you using auto white balance - if so, that should be the first thing you should check (and change). I'm assuming you have the white balance option (the control that sitcks through the glass window on the back of the housing that touches the lcd screen) on your Gates housing? Auf Wiedersehn!
I have an HC3 with the same fathom lens and I have the exact same problem. I have discussed this with Gates but no help. It doesn't happen all the time. Maybe 10% but I haven't found the cause either. You are not alone.

Is it possible that the little red record light or ambient through the back window could trick the camera? I have the red lite turned off but who knows? I have had ambient light come into the viewing port of the camera in shallow water and flare the lens. It would be great to solve this.

Are you AWB? If so that causes some issues. Daylight selection or MWB seems to help...
Certainly the Fathom lens has nothing to do with it. This sounds like more than a white balance problem, though that would be the first thing I would think of as well. Since the footage is turning green, and it is an intermittent problem, my guess is that there might be something wrong with the sensor itself. I would have the cam, probably still under warranty, checked out completely by a Sony technician.
