Eric should be posting a review of the Wetpixel Socorro trip soon with some great pics taken by the participants. I never got any of my pics to him, so I thought I'd post this one I like. Has a bit of a sci-fi feel to it I think

Did you see multiple mantas at the boiler? When I was there, over a decade ago, they would increment by 1 manta on each succeeding dive in a given day.

We saw multiple mantas on the last day at 'El Boiler', earlier in the week we only had some brief encounters. This picture was actually one of the brief encounters.

Very cool, Jeff. Mantas are definitely one of those creatures that look good photographed from either end.

I think I got lucky on this one. I cannot remember now as I do not have the EXIF available, but I think I shot at about 1/100 sec which was too slow for the sunball etc, so technically it's not great but the effect turned out to be quite interesting. I have some better shots from a technical perspective, but this was a little different.
