Rangiroa - French Polynesia Diving

We are planning a trip to Rangiroa, French Polynesia this December 2008 and I am interested if anyone has any feedback regarding PENSION accomodations on the atoll, preferably close to the TIPUTA PASS. I would prefer not to stay in Hotel Kia Ora. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Scubadiving mag. had an article on the Pensions a while back. You might check their website to read it. They were kayaking along and using Pensions. Some were at Rangiora.
