Dual Fish??

  1. I have seen this a few times before where two different species of fish follow and even touch each other, while swimming. They seem to be enjoying what they are doing. They meet over the top of the reef at dusk, while other fish around are spawning, this Stripped Parrotfish and Creole Wrasse swimming along side by side, touching, moving back and forth pacing each other, if one goes one way the other will follow and they both do this for at least 2-3 minutes at a time and then do it 4-5- times.

Just wondering what you think is going on, I would say for sure they are not fighting, they seem to be having fun.

  2. Great capture!!! Love the eye contact of first fish. :P

  3. Great observation and image. Sure sounds like these two got their pheromones mixed up or they just like kinky sex. The parrotfish even looks guilty now that you caught them in the act :P
