Petition to stop cuttlefish fishing in Babbacombe Bay

Every year many cuttlefish are caught when they come in to breed. The practice is depleting the stock of cuttlefish in the area as they are prevented from breeding.

A petition has been started to bring this to the attention of the UK government and UK residents can sign up at

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/cuttlefish/

Closing date is 16th March 2008 so don't hang about.

A VERY good cause - Alan Mildren's DVD is a very good conservationists view of the Cuttlefish at Babbacombe - see http://www.marinevisionstudios.com/ if you are interested - well worth getting hold of a copy!
