images of surf from the North Shore this year

  1. Hi Folks:

     

    Due to a bit of arm-twisting (not much was needed), I will try to post some of my surf images here in a week or two. I just got back home so am slammed. In the meantime, here are some of my shots from January. I spent the last couple of months on the North Shore learning about all this surf photography stuff.

    (The note in the web pages is a joke. I am NOT in the water in the images of the big waves at Waimea!).

     

    For anyone who is experienced in surf photography, these images of Waimea are a cliche. But I was happy to get these kinds of shots. Thanks has to be given to everyone's old friend Jim Watt for showing me Waimea the first time, about three years ago.
