Travel agent recommendation

Can someone recommend me a travel agent based in USA , with expertise on PNG ?

I already booked directly my stay with 2 different dive resorts and was trying to book the flights trough the travel agent i used since some years ago . But today i learned that supposedly the are some rules that doesn't allow to that company to sell only the flights ! :glare:

This is the first time i heard of such "rule"

Here is what they said :

" Bit of a problem as my air contract requires a minimum purchase of land

arrangements and Ambua met that. Without that I can't do it, I would loose

my air contract. The requirement is minimum 5 nights at a preferred

supplier.

Sorry, but I can't risk loosing my contract. "

I was trying to add a stay at a resort in the mountains ( Ambua Lodge ) and make such reservation together with my flights , but i cancelled my plans because the internal flight schedule were too tight .

Anybody know of a company that can arrange my flights only ?

I have had great advice and service from Ultimate Dive Travel. There website is

They set up liveaboard trips to Papua New Guinea, and they are very knowledgeable. I have dealt mostly with Ken, Laura, and Mike. I think that there are only one or two other agents in the office. Give them a try. Good luck.

I arranged my PNG dive and topside adventure via UNCOMMON ADVENTURES based in Los Angeles, specifically by Jim Harlan who is the owner. In fact, I have him arrange many of my international dive trips. The website address is http://www.uncommonadventures.com/

Just ask for the owner, Jim Harlan. He knows A LOT about PNG topside as well.

My favorite travel agents are:

1) Ultimate Dive Travel - Ken or Mike

2) Island Dreams Travel Ken or Tina

While I like these guys, they don't rep every possible dive op, so...

3) Papua New Guinea Trave Jen

4) Reef and Rainforest

We're having the same problem. We already booked our accommodations and dive packages at KBR and Wakatobi and now I can't find anyone to help with flights. Did you find an agent yet to help with your flights?

I didn't contact any of the recommended agents yet . I will do it next week and let you know the results.
