Compatability across brands

Hi all

I was just wondering how compatible different brands are wit each other. Mainly strobes and housings. I have a YS-110 strobe from sea and sea I am looking at possibly upgrading is it possible to use it with an ikelit housing with TTL?

I believe Ikelite TTL only works with Ikelite strobes, at least that's what they claim. I'm sure some creative folks could hack together a fix.

it is possible to use the strobe yes, there are ike synch cords that go ike to nikonos style (or at least there used to be) but for TTL with Ike no.

Most strobes can be used with most housings by using the manual power settings on the strobe - however, getting TTL communication between the strobe and camera is a different story.
