Diffuser for strobes

I am off on first trip to Bunaken Manado this coming week with my sea and sea Cannon 40D rig with twin Y250 pro strobes should I use the diffusers on my strobes for wide angle and or macro they seem to make the spread much beter in the pool anyway.

For WA I found the diffusers on my SB105 much better then without them, the light is wider and somehow smoother.

Also fo Macro I use them most of the time, again the light seems better and with edges less distractive.

Actually I remove the diffusers only in situations when I need more light then what the strobes can supply with the diffusers.
