Captiva/Sanibel Islands

Hi Gang,

I'm heading to Captiva/Sanibel islands for some R&R and wondering what kind of UW photo or fun marine related stuff to do here? Anyone from the area have some suggestions? I've just been too busy with work to research it yet.

Looks like a lot of fun sea kayaking here, but I'm wondering about manatees and other wildlife. I also brought my bird photography gear on this trip, so anything goes.

My friends I am staying with were just there.

They dive, but I don't think they did, they just chilled out, apparently its really relaxed there.

I will ask them if it is worth hauling lots of stuff, all they have shown me is where they stayed. It's an easy trip for them like a few hours drive.

I'll lt ya know what I hear later. Someone else will probably chime in by then !

Whgen we were there there were Manatees. Also there is a national park where you can canoe. It has lots of birds and gators.
