    Thanks Drew, ah.... :P

But I do want to acknowledge ALL the other great articles in issue #41. I enjoyed them all - particularly the articles on Cuban diving and Pacific-side diving in Australia, plus more on Alex Kirkbride's 'American Waters' Tour.

One thing I would like to note, if you purchase the book I mentioned in my manatee article 'The Florida Manatee Biology and Conservation' by Roger Reep and Robert Bonde

    * ALL the proceeds from that book go into a research fund for the students that are studying manatees, the authors don't make a dime on that book FYI. That fund makes it possible for graduate students and biologists to be able to make treks, all around the state to observe, study and assist in the rescue/recovery of manatees in the wild.*

So you not only get the most informative book out there on the Florida manatee (and some humorous bits to boot, for instance what happened to Bob whilst swimming with a mating herd???)

Anyway you not only get a fantastic book but you support the future of manatee conservation - the students.

And yes you can get the book cheaper at Amazon or whatever and still support the "cause".

    Thanks Drew and all, Carol
