    Hi Kento

im having a bit of dificulty reading your post . but i think you are saying that you are using an inon strobe fired by SYNC cable from a ikelite housing, in Manual mode??

ill asume that your using a INON Z240 as thats the strobe im using. as you said set your main dial to M which allwos for manual controll of your strobe .

i push the preflach button IN

then set the EV Dial in the following position . for macro subjects i use position 2 shoot,, and dial upwards as required.

for wideangle subjects i use position 11 shoot,, and dial down as required.

after a while you will be able to aproach a subject and gues the EV dial setting fairly closley. as you probally also know mooving your strobes foward and back will affect the amount of light on the subject, also if you cant dial the strobe power down enough by the EV dial , mooving strobes back and Fstop there are various strength diffusers made by inon .

    All the best

    Hi Matt

it was really great help its more clear no assume you have this 2 F-stop as starting point right

my inon strobe comes whit to diffusers . one is -1.5 fstop and the other is -0.5 fstop .

if can"t dial down strobe power enough by the ev dial.

my idea is to do it whit the cameras EV controll

or change the internal flash output ???

well at last a have plenty of time to spend i a pool and learn to to shoot in manual mode :D

    so thanks matt

    so long best regards kent

  6. Kent,

How do you fire the Inon strobes since the internal strobe can't pop up on the camera? Just curious....I was thinking of switching housings.

    Hi Gary

In ikelite housing is not available to use pop up flash

for fire inon stobe you mount ikelite synkcord but notice

S-TT mode is not available only Auto or Manual mode

Ikelite recommend following syncord for inon .

    #singel strobe. 4118.1

    dual strobe 4118.2

Gary a assume you have the14-42 lens ???

A email IKELITE about port and the recommend me

go for the dome port 6 allso good for use of 50 mm

    macro lens.

a E-mail ikelite to about if OLY E420 going to fit

in 410 housing but ther was not sure about it yet

but the told me the can not today confirm it ther is

going to be a uppdate about that on ther webb site.

regards kent p.s hope this help you
