Ikelite DS-51 with DS-125

  1. I curently use an Ikelite DS-51 and am considering adding a DS-125 as my primary. The DS-51 would be used to fill in shadows but I have concerns that the DS-125, with a 4800K color, and the DS-51, with a color of 5700K, might give some funny color effects in my photos. Does anyone use this type setup and/or has anyone have any experience with using two strobes with different color temperatures?

for a brief (transition) period I used both a DS 50 and a DS 125. For my purposes, the images were very acceptable with no discernible color difference noticed from side to side to my "untrained" eyes.

If you wish, by putting the diffuser on the DS 51, it will also warm the light, bringing it a bit closer in color to an undiffused DS 125.
