  1. I can't find that thread. It was a comment by someone who said he doesn't bring it down unless he has to because it is prone to flood. I have that focus light and the red flood indicator light came on when I was on land before it even went in the water. It is being fixed now but do they really tend to flood easily?

Thread title is Fantasea Nano focus light. I think somebody got their lights confused.

That wasn't it. Maybe I read it on another board. LOL. It was a discussion about the Fisheye and the diver said he doesn't take it down unless he absolutely has to.
  6. I think it was this board...the Dutch guy who said it cost $400 and he was worried to take it down ONLY if he had to?

If was about using a focus light and WA for perhaps CFWA...an offhand remake about how expensive it costs (Fisheye) and relatively prone to flooding...

It was me; and it was a little tongue in cheek - since the lights are so expensive. But on a liveaboard trip a couple years ago (14 photographers) - I saw 2 flood in 10 days. Coincidence - maybe. Both of the floods came in the middle of the dive at depth. So I have been really careful ever since - and I do usually leave it on the boat when shooting wide angle.

  8. Thank you both. I thought I was going crazy. Well, I am, but I thought I was aware that I was going crazy. :D

  9. No problems.... I got the same light and have not used it yet..... I plan to be super careful too but will take it down with me on probably all dives unless in very shallow waters....
