Adam Wilt, whose knowledge in video technology is well known ( I ask him quite a few questions myself), started ProVideoCoalition.com, a website created for video professionals. In one 'blog', he compared the Sony PMW-EX1 with the Sony F23 HDCAM and the Red One camera. It's not a review but a quick comparison and his results does reflect what the industry level people are saying about the various cameras. It's definitely worth a read for those in the market for bigger cameras. Of course, the controversy over the Red One results warrants reading the various defence posts by Graeme Nattress (who works with Red)
He may not be 100% correct in his findings but he cannot be that far out.
Well lessons from this little bad test:
Glass matters: The digiprimes are beautiful lenses and make the difference compared to the SuperSpeed 50 used on the red. Let's not even talk about the EX1's fujinon in the conversation.
Red One is still a WIP: Throughout the industry and admitted by their own people, the product is unfinished. Software interface with many editors is still shakey and there's no set workflow for Avid. The RedRaw 4k requires more work and the camera itself is seeing constant updates as problems and solutions pop up. It's a warning to those who need easy workflow and setup to consider the issues.
baby camcorders just can't compete imagewise to the big cameras with big lenses... but we knew that already

I don't think any camera that generally requires you be tethered, that requires you to calibrate it if you change lenses, and that requires (for now), that you shoot separate sound is going to be considered by someone looking for an "easy workflow and setup"!
I wonder how I can get one of those Arri MasterPrimes on my DVX...
A lot of people shoot separate audio anyways so it's not a big deal.
The Letus extreme has a B4 adapter for the primes.
