Please Help - Stuck in Fiji without a strobe

6 posts
  1. Hi, hopefully someone can provide a bit of information. I'm in Fiji and my Ikelite strobe's sensor went dead. I'm at the very beginning of a three month dive trip and really need to find a place to replace the strobe's sensor or get a new strobe unit. Does anyone know where I could go in the country? I tried searching endlessly but couldn't find a single shop selling camera equipment.

Nandi would be best, but really anywhere would do. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    David

  2. Oh dear! I am not of much help but if I were you, I would courier one up from Australia ASAP! Worth it cause of the 3 month trip.... get a new one. Might as well since after this incident, you probably want to have a spare for long trips like this.

  3. I agree - get one from Oz - one of the Wetpixel sponsors (Scubapix I think) is located in Northern Oz and can probably get your fixed up ASAP.

    Good luck!

    James
