TTL - Shutter Speed Sync Question

3 posts
  1. First off, here is my setup:

    Canon 5D in Ikelite housing

Ikelite DS-125 strobe via TTL cord

I am wondering if it is possible to for me to use shutter speeds faster than 1/200 in manual mode with the strobe via TTL. From my recent experience, I've noticed from my image metadata that if I set the camera faster than 1/200 the images are still exposed at only 1/200. I've heard that this is because the strobe can't burst long enough and it would result in lines in the image from the shutter movement. What are the workarounds or solutions, if any, on the camera side or the strobe side? Thanks.

:D Nope! 1/200 is the fastest sync. for the 5D - refer to your users manual.
