Transitional rig question...

5 posts
  1. Hi all!

so my girlfriend has been using a very nice Canon point and shoot with a Canon housing (SD700 i think), but recently her diffuser disappeared. I was going to just get her a new diffuser, but she tells me she is somewhat over the point and shoot, but doesn't want the hassel of a DSLR rig (size, strobes, etc...).

Any recomendations on a good transitional rig? Something not to big, but good performance?

    Thanks!

  2. Canon G9 with Ikelite housing and wideangle lens perhaps?

    Cheers

  3. Geez man,

If you are that nice a fella, well then I need a nice new 105VR, and,... :D

    I agree with James,

That should keep her happy... :(

    Bruce... ;)

  4. G9, hmmm... I have a friend who just got one, I will see how she likes it...

    Thanks for the responses!

  5. If you have the bucks, you might not want to skip looking at some of the smaller DSLR's like the xti, Olympus E410. My E410 housing isn't much bigger than the housing for the G9 but the investment's quite a bit more.
