Following URL describes sync cord and mounting components to use the Nikonos strobes:
Hi Ike, Thanks but it lists only the SB 103 and 105 whereas I need info on the 102. ![]()
I used the 102 with the Coolpix 5000 - what do you want to know? It worked fine w/ the Ikelite to Nikon sync cord.
What arm setup do you have?

Hi James,
Hey, thanks heaps. I have contacted Nikon and they say they can't recommend it as they don't know! Intuitively I thought it should be fine but one never knows. I won't be able to test it for another 3 weeks so really appreciate your experience.
I hope you have great diving.

Oops - what arm do I have - I am going to modify a spare Nikonos SB 102. You?

I have an ultralight arm. Make sure that whatever arm you get will let you move the strobe back and away from the camera if necessary.
Cheers
James
Good one. I have tended to always dive with the strobe off the camera anyhow ie always detached when using it to reduce backscatter and have better light control - have yet to come to grips with the effect of 'overlighting' the digital camer's capacity! All good fun. I have found a couple of good sites with hints for getting the 5000 to work best.
Good bubbling!
