I will not purchase strobe cover because my storobes already have dameges.

  2. I was kind of thinking the same thing. These things already have heat issues so lets wrap them up in a 7mil? I can see some value if you're hauling your gear to a rough shore dive site. Otherwise...

  3. I'm considering the purchase of these for an additional reason: increase buoyancy.

If I move forward with this purchase, I'll post a feedback here.

Unless the neoprene is uncompressible, the buoyancy will vary with depth. I use Stix floats and ULC float arms. Inon offers several buoyancy arms – a better optional in my opinion.

yeah you're right, and I seriously doubt that it's uncompressible... ;)

At least the shock protection remains a valid point for me: I regularly do shore dives where the exit point is quite rocky.

  6. I've been thinking about these for a while...some of the narrower cave tunnels I dive in mean the strobes get smacked against the walls a fair bit during a dive. Not good for the cave or the strobes, but occasionally hard to avoid. A bit of protection for both would be nice.

If the water is 14 to 16 degrees C all year round, are the Z240s likely to overheat? Has anyone had any experience of this while using these covers or any similar home made protection? I'd be interested to hear your experiences if you go ahead Nicool.
