  1. Hi all

I took this in Turks and Caicos this March. The dive guides there didn't know what it was, and I can't find it in my ID book, or on a simple web trawl.

Nudibranchs I find really difficult to identify at the best of times.

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Cheers

    Hal

  2.

    Thanks

I agree it does look somewhat similar, except that it was solitary and not on a gorgonian!

    Cheers

    Hal,

It appears to be "Tritonia hamnerorum"

check it out on page 222 of "Caribbean Sea Slugs" by Valdes, Hamann, Behrens & DuPont

(a shamless plug for our book)

    Cheers,

    Anne DuPont

  5. The best place for Nudibranch ID is: nudipixel.net

The site is fantastic, easy to search, and very helpful in identifying nudi's

    Hope you like it
