  1. As compared to the resort, :) I had a favorable trip on the pelagian. The staff on the boat were great. See www.flickr.com/photos/vazuw

  2. Extremely well done! Looks like you had a great trip. Thanks for sharing.

Im diving on the Pelagian later this month. I searched "Pelagian" and found this post. I checked out your flickr gallery. Your photographs are nothing short of spectacular with fantastic composition! I aspire to take pictures like yours.

    Cheers

  4. Mr Bubbles,

I checked out your flickr gallery - I am blown away with the Channel Islands images. Very, very nice!

I have not dived the Channel Islands but I want to. I keep thinking that I will someday as I travel to So Cal almost every year. My next trip out there will be in May '09. I think that your photos were taken in Sept - what are the conditions like in May? I would love to attempt to capture some kelp images. Do you dive the live-aboards? If so, which one would you recommend from the the LA area?

  5. Thanks Tom. I use truth aquatics out of santa barbara. They have a great reputation out here. I go on the limited load trips. They do primarily the north channel islands, vs the south area catalina and san clemente. Up north the water is colder, last december 55 to 60F. Visibility is highly variable, but I believe better in the winter. Photography in cold water is very challenging. For every good shot, I have alot of throw aways.
