Weird e-mail from scuba magazine.net

  1. I've just been sent this e-mail, some kind of "forum war" going on ??

Anyone seen a train wreck knocking about? And where's the bodily harm happening - sounds like an interesting party?

Edit: Wow - wonders of modern technology, this site has just auto edited my post by putting "known spammer - editor" after [url=http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17238]scubamagazine.net[/url] [known spammer -editor] [known spammer -editor] [known spammer -editor] [known spammer -editor] . Uh Oh - does that mean my edit will be auto edited? And is there any way I could unintentionally cause an auto-edit feedback loop which would go on auto-editing ad infinitum? Errr - my head hurts now, time for a lie down!

Edit 2: Just come back from lie down - Argh! The auto thingy has edited my edit by putting that "known spammer - editor" phrase after the word [url=http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17238]scubamagazine.net[/url] [known spammer -editor] [known spammer -editor] [known spammer -editor].

    "Hey Brendan,

Don't believe the hype you're reading from jealous competitors about scuba magazine.net [known spammer -editor]. These people on other forums are providing a huge publicity boost every time they talk about us. Everyone comes over to see the train wreck and instead they see a scuba community free of acrimony, arguments and unprofessionalism towards other scuba communities.

A perfect example of some of their lies are the claim we don't have any agreement with Inon for displaying their logo OWNED by Inon. We have a record of the contact person at Inon USA that came to an agreement with us and they have never asked us to remove their ad. We logged that agreement like all the rest because we knew these clowns would make outrageous, unsupported claims.

We could publicly post all the screen captures of the threats to hack us, the actual hacking of us by admins of other forums, the threats of bodily harm and defamation by various shady characters of which many are admins and mods of other scuba forums, but unlike them, we continue to take the high road, stay out of the childish sandbox, and frankly, remaining utterly silent publicly to their unsupported claims is highly calculated on our part as they're a publicity dream for us and we never want to silence that.

Eric would be prudent to get back to being the incredibly talented photographer he is and running an otherwise exceptional photo community.

    "The Publisher"

Mmmm - who is this mysterious "publisher."

  2. Brendan I edited your post to hide some of the auto warnings!
