  1. Hi,

I'm waiting for my new equipment but in meantime I like know if somebody use this solution and if really work well in order to have full i-TTL.

    Configuration:

Nikon D300 in Subal ND30 with HeinrichsWeikamp External Converter, Sea & Sea Dual Sync Cord and two INON's Z-240 Type 3.

Thanks in advance for your useful information, like always.

    Best regards,

    Tigershark

  2. Go to the HeinrichsWeikamp website, it will tell you.

  3. Go to the HeinrichsWeikamp website, it will tell you.

I have already put that question to HeinrichsWeikamp:

Question - It's possible connect the external converter to the two Inon's with one Dual Sync Cord and still working very well?

Answer from HeinrichsWeikamp - Two identical strobes is the best combination you can choose.

    And to INON also:

Answer from Inon - As you can see in our English instruction manual, we do not guarantee

proper functioning of Z-240 when using Sea&Sea Dual Sync Cord or any other cord

besides "Sea&Sea Sync Cord N". In some case, a dual cord divides electrical signal

from a camera causing insufficient electrical signal to trigger external strobe.

Now you can understand as I put the question to the forum for try find an answer from somebody with experience in use of the same configuration.

    Best regards,

    Tigershark

  4. I have a D200/Subal/S&S TTL converter with 2 independent single S&S cables. All works fine.

The S&S TTL converter was a little big at first, butwe like the external control and it is now not as obtrusive as at first.

    Forgot to add I use 2 Z 240 strobes.

    The situation is different.

The Sea & Sea Converter use two connectors each one for a single sync cord, but the HeinrichsWeikamp are only one connector. If you use two strobes the solutions are - Dual sync cord for both strobes or one sync cord to one strobe and slave strobe connection by optical cable.

My "dilema" is about the Sea & Sea Dual Sync Cord - This work or not?

Pictures from the Sea & Sea Converter and HeinrichsWeikamp External Converter.

  6. I have used 2 Z240s connected in parallel to a single Heinrichs TTL board, and it worked quite well.

So I would assume that using a dual sync cord would work just as well, as the impedance load seen by the Heinrichs TTL board should be the same.

  7. Hi,

I have already tested this situation - D300 in Subal housing with 2x Inon Z240 Type 3, Sea & Sea Dual Sync Cord/N and HeinrichsWeikamp external converter - and work great, without any problem of the Dual Sync Cord use.

The Inon Z240 setting will be:

    - Main Mode Switch - S-TTL or Low

    - EV Control Switch - As you wish

    - Advanced Cancel Circuit Switch - Press and lock

In the Subal housing, the circuit board must be in 5 pin mode.

    Best regards,

    Tigershark
