The system is used manually - no TTL converter. Connected with Sea & Sea 5 pin Sync Cord, Camera set to Flash in White Balance. Lead strobe is set to Full and slave strobe is set to Auto. Both strobes fire perfectly but do not show appreciable difference when changing outputs. Hopeless trying to gain any constructive info from manual - even though it is in English. Has anyone else have this set up?
Any help please - appreciated.
Hi Dave
I use a D200 in a Subal ND20 with twin Inon Z240's, no TTL converter and set the strobes both on manual.
The only difference in our set-ups is I use two synch chords and have no problems setting the strobes to fire at different settings.
I suspect that your second strobe set to slave is mimicing the master strobe exactly giving twin full length bursts.
I am not sure that the 'ev' controller works to reduce output whilst in slave mode on the Z240's. at least I cant make sense of it in the manual.
Try anaother synch chord I think this will solve your problem.

Hi Nige,
I Think you have 2 sync ports on Subal, only 1 on Sea & sea - they have dual connector and am checking out - many thanks
