    It looks like I was wrong afterall. The D100 is based on the N80 ergonomics but the body is NOT the same size.

     

    According to Phil, the body has an extra 20mm or so under the lens mount.

     

    Conclusion - the camera probably won't go straight into an N80 housing...:)
