Mixing arm parts from different manufacturers?

  1. I know this might seem like a weird question. Could you use clamps from ULCS to connect Ikelite arm sections (with 1" balls)?

I don't really mind the ikelite arm sections that I have, but the Ike clamps are a bit big and I would like to relace them with something a bit smaller.

Anyone knows if this is possible?

Most 1" (North American) and 25mm (European) ball arms sections and clamps can be mixed with no problem at all - I've tried quite a variety from Ultralight, Seacam, TLC, Ikelite, Inon etc and found no problems with the items I tried.

  3. I've used a mixture of TLC and Ultralight for ages, with no problems. I like the TLC wheels, but the Ultralight clamps can be a bit easier to turn. They both work with Inon, but I haven't tried Ikelite fittings.

  4. Yes, I use Ikelite and ULCS 1" balls together. I like the bouyancy arms from ULCS and their clamps, but I like the detachable arm segment from Ikelite to give me lighting options.

  5. Yes.

  6. Thank you all!!!
