Poor video quality

  1. I just bought a new Sony High Def HC7 camera and an Amphibico housing. All my video has a yellowish tinge to it that I never had using my old system. Is there a setting on the camera I am missing? I have contacted Amphibico and they say that they have never heard of this problem before. Can anyone offer any suggestions.

Ar you setting the White Balance or leaving it on Auto? Auto usually gives me issues while Outdoor (or better yet Manual WB) helps.

  3. Caymandivegirl, any chance you can post a screen capture showing that yellow tinge? You don't have access to the manual WB on the amphibico HC7 correct? Is this while using a filter and using autoWB? And how deep were you?

Correct, I do not have access to WB while underwater so WB is set to auto. Typically I am at a depth of 50 feet but the yellow tinge gets worse as I get shallower. Yes, the built in filter was being used. Sorry no screen shot available at the moment. Thanks.

I shoot an EVO with an HC1. Above about 20' I typically flip the filter up. Esp. on bright days. Otherwise it will yellow the image. But I've had no problems below 20'. I leave AWB on all the time.
