I used Photobox for a while - very cheap - pretty crap.

Problem was poor colour control and luminance issues, in the end there was no way to predict what the hell the shot would end up looking like. I had B&W shots with a green cast :D

Speaking to Photobox the upshot was that their setup assumes that the shot is straight out of the camera - so as a matter of course they seem to colour boost and sharpen - so my shots were getting a serious dose of both.

In the end I used a local guy here on Guernsey, price is 5-8 times that of Photobox but now I can pretty much predict what I get, pro job, pro price.

Strange. I supply Adobe RGB jpeg files from a calibrated monitor to Photobox and they are spot on every time, and cheap. Their cropping is a bit suspect, but that's a different story....

Curiously, Maria has a Photobox advert on her web page...

... where is she getting her printing done?
