Am very happy with my Mares Volo Power but they are way past their optimal levels. I tried Scupa Pro Twin Jet max BUT found them a little heavy and cumbersome also a bit tiring, after being used to the lightweight Mares. I am most likely going in for another pair BUT was curious to know if anybody has used these new Sling "Shots" ? Also how heavy are they ?
Cheers

I'm quite new to diving in general (about 55 dives to date) and have little experience with other fins... but having dived 20 dives with these I have to say I like them a lot. I use them on easiest setting and hardly feel them on my feets kicking and give quite good power. I got the impression that they are slightly bigger than normal fins so you might want to check that in the store in case you want something compact/light. Weight is about 1 kg per fin.
The only thing I found a tad annoying was that sometimes you hear/feel the power bands snap and felt almost like you slightly touched the bottom/corals.

Thanks Whizzer for your input. I kg sounds a bit heavy but i assume with the 3 adjustments it may be easier once below water. Unless i get to try them when i travel to Thailand next month Ii will probably opt for the Mares. BUT your input has been a great help.

IMO and this is not having tried them I would suggest that the Slingshot is over complicated and is likely to break often too. However if your Vollos lasted a while without breaking maybe you get lucky with fins.
It seems over kill for a pair of fins. I couldn't see myself ever changing settings, especially in water.
The only reason I ever bought a pair of split fins was they were small and light for packing up. I personally still think the best fin ever made is Mares Avanti Quattro Power, long solid and powerfull, but not great for travelling now a days.
