Tips for Wide Angle shots

Can you post an example? My first thought would be a strobe sync problem but are the images dark, do you get any foreground color, etc.

What lens(es) and strobes are you shooting with?

Well the first question is are you using a wide angle lens? :-) If you don't get close enough, your pics will look too blue.

You need to get close, and light the foreground with your strobe. Then the only strong blue you should see should be the water.
