Canon 500D on Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro in Ikelite 5508.45 Flat Port

I ordered the Canon 500D diopter to use it on the Canon 100 mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens in the Ikelite 5508.45 Flat Port. It just occured to me that this is probably a pretty thick diopter, and I shoudl have asked this question before ordering... Does anyone shoot this combination or know if the diopter actually has room inside that port?
Also, what rate of magnification do you get if you are shooting a 1.6 crop camera (in my case Canon 40D) + the 500D + Woody diopter? What would the maximum focusing distance and DOF be?
Anyone have any images shots with 100 mm +1.6 crop +500D + Woody's diopter to show?
Unless they have changed the design since I got mine, No, there is not room for a 500D in the 5508.45. There is not even room for a normal sized diopter.
This is confusing!
In the flat ports without focusing knobs 5508 is for lenses shorter than 19 cm (7.5"). So assumed that 5508.45 would allow for similar lengths.
I just found the thickness of the diopter, apparently it is 10.5mm. The canon 100mm lens is 119.4 mm. So the whole lens, diopter combo should shake out to be 129.9mm or 13 cm.
I wonder what flat port would work for that and still allow for the manual focusing of the 100 mm lens?

There are only two ports that permit manual focusing with the Canon 100mm USM lens.
5508.45 (not room for even a skinny diopter)
and
Modular port system (you can build a port of any length by adding extensions, so you can use any combination of diopters, teleconverters, and extension tubes and retain the ability to MF)
There is a third option, email ikelite and get them to build you a custom port. (this would most likely be cheaper than the modular port system, but less flexable)
